Dragon's Back 380 km 2027

A six-day stage race of about 380 km and 16,400 m of climbing along the mountainous spine of Wales, from Conwy Castle in the north to Cardiff Castle in the south. Each day runners cover a set stage and sleep in tents at an overnight camp before starting again the next morning. Parts of the route are rocky, unmarked or pathless, and it is based on the route of the first race in 1992.
The course tops out at 1,068 m (low point 3 m). About 50% of the distance is gentle (under 5% grade). The median finish was about 74 h, through 3 nights.
