Also known as: Madarao 20K
The 20 km category starts and finishes at Restaurant Heidi at Madarao Kogen ski area. It skips the summits of Mt. Madarao and Mt. Hakama and instead loops past Restaurant Banff, Numanohara wetland, Hakama pond, Akaike and Kibo-ko through lakes, wetlands and beech forest. It is open to fifth-graders and older; elementary school pupils must run with a guardian.
1,350 m of climbing over 20 km (68 m per km). In 2025, 92% of starters finished. The median finish was about 3 h.
