The 'Double' category: two laps of the technical 32K loop from the Aichi Prefectural Forest in Shinshiro, taking on the rocky sections, chains and the climb to Mt. Ure twice. Entry is limited to runners who have previously finished the 32K in under five hours.
The course tops out at 924 m (low point 132 m). There are 4 big climbs: 469 m around 11–14 km; 441 m around 15–17 km; 469 m around 43–46 km; 441 m around 47–49 km. The longest descent drops 727 m around 27 km at about 13% on average. Only about 30% is gentle (under 5% grade); most of it is climbing or descending. The median finish was about 10 h.
