Starting and finishing in Taiping, it heads from the Lake Gardens into the forest reserves around Burmese Pool, crosses streams and passes a water-catchment area open only on race weekend before returning to town. Fast and runnable overall.
The course tops out at 323 m (low point 20 m). About 50% of the distance is gentle (under 5% grade). In 2025, 91% of starters finished. The median finish was about 6 h.
