This race covers roughly the last 70 km of the FUJI100mi course, all in Yamanashi. From Fuji Hokuroku Park it runs through villages and countryside before turning into a run of steep peaks such as Mt. Shakushi and Shimoyama past Lake Yamanaka, with Mt. Fuji in view along the way.
The course tops out at 1,635 m (low point 683 m). 5 climbs of 300 m or more keep coming; the biggest is 636 m around 53–57 km. About 50% of the distance is gentle (under 5% grade). In 2026, 95% of starters finished. The median finish was about 14 h, through one night.
