Based at WACK Onagawa Stadium in Onagawa, Miyagi, the race runs a roughly 35 km circuit made of a south loop and a north loop. Part of the Michinoku Coastal Trail, the course looks out over the Pacific from Mt. Ishinage and Mt. Kuromori. This category covers three laps, south loop first.
The course tops out at 458 m (low point 3 m). 6 climbs of 400 m or more keep coming; the biggest is 455 m around 18–25 km. About 40% of the distance is gentle (under 5% grade).
