The short race on Mount Yun, winding along mountain trails from Zhonghe Square. The mountain, said to have been visited by Laozi, offers pine forest, ice caves and cultural sites in a compact outing.
The course tops out at 1,359 m (low point 636 m). There are 2 big climbs: 450 m around 0–6 km; 644 m around 8–16 km. The longest descent drops 721 m around 16 km at about 12% on average.
