Follows the Hajar Mountains route described as the origin of long-distance trail running in Oman, point to point from Al Hamra to Birkat Al Mouz. Rocky ridgelines, wadis and high plateaus pass the villages of Jabal Akhdar, with long climbs and sharp descents.
The course tops out at 2,267 m (low point 598 m). There are 2 big climbs: 1,376 m around 0–19 km; 529 m around 57–68 km. About 40% of the distance is gentle (under 5% grade).
